This policy lists the uses we prohibit on Aurawave AI. It supplements our Terms of Service. A violation of any rule below is grounds for immediate account termination without refund.
Consent is the foundation
Every face we generate must belong to a person who has given explicit, informed consent for AI photos to be made of them. You may upload selfies of yourself. You may upload selfies of someone else only when that person has given you written or recorded consent for AI photo generation specifically.
Consent for a regular photo to be taken is not the same as consent for AI generation. The two require separate permission.
What you may not generate
Non-consensual photos of any person
Including but not limited to: classmates, coworkers, exes, neighbors, or anyone whose photos you found online or in a shared cloud folder. If they did not say yes specifically to AI generation, you may not generate them.
Photos of any minor under 18
We do not generate AI photos of children under 18 under any circumstance, including with parental consent.
Photos of public figures, celebrities, or politicians
You may not generate AI photos of any person whose likeness you do not personally own, regardless of whether they are alive or deceased. This includes athletes, entertainers, executives, public officials, and historical figures.
Sexual, exploitative, or non-consensual sexual content
We do not generate any sexual or sexualized content. Aurawave is for professional headshots, period.
Identity theft, fraud, or impersonation
You may not use generated photos to impersonate another person, create fake professional profiles, defraud anyone, or pass off another person's likeness as your own.
Political deepfakes or disinformation
You may not generate photos for use in political campaigns where the photo misrepresents reality, deepfake content, or disinformation operations.
Harassment, bullying, or doxxing
You may not use Aurawave to harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person.
Hate speech or violent content
You may not generate photos in contexts that promote hate speech, racial or ethnic supremacy, terrorism, or political or religious violence.
What you may do
- Generate professional headshots of yourself for any lawful personal or commercial purpose, including LinkedIn, your firm bio, your company website, press, marketing, and printed materials.
- Generate headshots for a colleague, employee, or family member when they have given explicit consent for AI generation.
- Use your delivered photos commercially without paying us additional royalties.
- Edit, crop, retouch, or composite your delivered photos as you see fit.
How we enforce
We review uploads automatically for known violations (minor faces, public-figure faces, sexually explicit content). We also act on user reports.
If we identify a violation, we may:
- Remove the offending session and any generated photos from your account.
- Terminate your account without refund.
- Report unlawful content to law enforcement when required.
- Pursue legal remedies for severe or repeated violations.
Reporting a violation
If you believe someone is using Aurawave in violation of this policy, including using your likeness without consent, email hello@aurawave.ai with as much detail as you can share. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Why we have this policy
AI photo generation is powerful, and powerful tools attract bad-faith use. Our position is simple. We grade every output, we ship under our own name, and we will not become a tool for non-consensual or exploitative content. This policy is the line.
